Interests: Chess, Go, exercise, lawyering, writing, reading, music, philosophy, movie-watching in discriminating fashion.

Favorite Music: Bach, Mozart and Handel are the Holy Trinity of Composers, as far as I am concerned. But I also like Chopin, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Purcell, Telemann, Vivaldi, U2, The Clash, The Police and The Beatles, among others.

Favorite TV Shows: Firefly, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Friends (I know, I know), Lots of stuff on C-Span.

Favorite Movies: Patton, Amadeus. Godfathers I and II, along with Honorable Mentions consisting of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Casablanca, Groundhog Day, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and No Country For Old Men.

Favorite Books: Don Quixote, A Thousand And One Nights, The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, The Aeneid, Democracy in America, History of the Peloponnesian War, The Wealth of Nations. There are lots of others as well.

About Me: I am a lawyer in the Chicagoland area. A hopeless devotee of the Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls and Cubs, I am regularly disappointed by my favorite teams but cheer them on anyway because my heart would break if I abandoned them.

I read a lot, but not nearly as much as I want to. I write a lot as well. Writing is a compulsion.
